Technical Overview

AB Rubber Engineering manufactures and supplies high-quality Container Seals engineered to provide dependable sealing and protection for shipping containers, cargo containers, refrigerated containers, storage containers, and specialized transportation enclosures. Our container sealing profiles are designed to create a continuous and reliable sealing barrier between the container door and frame, helping protect the enclosed cargo from rainwater, moisture, dust, wind, air leakage and harsh external environmental conditions. Reliable Sealing for Demanding Container Applications Container doors are repeatedly opened, closed and locked during loading, unloading and transportation. The sealing profile must therefore maintain its flexibility, compression recovery and sealing contact over repeated operating cycles. AB Rubber Engineering Container Seals are designed with suitable profile geometry and rubber compounds to provide effective compression sealing while accommodating minor dimensional variations, vibration and movement during transportation. Our profiles are particularly suitable for applications where protection against water ingress, dust, moisture and outdoor exposure is critical. Manufactured using carefully selected elastomer compounds such as EPDM, Neoprene, NBR, Silicone and Sponge Rubber, our container seals can be engineered to meet different requirements of flexibility, compression, hardness, temperature resistance and environmental durability. Engineered for Outdoor & Marine Environments Shipping containers are exposed to demanding environmental conditions during storage and transportation, including rain, sunlight, humidity, temperature fluctuations, wind and ozone. For outdoor container applications, EPDM is a preferred elastomer because of its excellent resistance to weathering, UV radiation, ozone, moisture and aging. Other rubber materials can be selected where specific requirements such as oil resistance or high-temperature performance are involved. Therefore, we offer customized rubber extrusion profiles based on customer drawings, CAD designs, physical samples or existing container sections.
